Therapy for Life's Challenges

Counselling for teens, adults & seniors

In order to experience peace and joy, we must have the courage to face our fears. Psychotherapy counseling aims at assisting people in understanding and overcoming personal problems and being free of difficulties in relationships, anger, conflict, trauma, abuse, bereavement, and addiction.

As human beings, we all struggle. Our goal is to help you find clarity, purpose, and strength. Through the therapy process, we will help you cultivate a confidence and resiliency that you can then carry into every challenge you face. Healing is when these struggles no longer control you.

We are a private, group psychotherapy practice offering counseling services for children, adolescents, young adults, adults, elderly people, couples, families, and groups. We also offer traditional and non-traditional modalities that promote physical, emotional and spiritual well-being including energy healing, and spiritual counseling.

Our Beliefs

Anyone can be who they want to become. One is always in control of their lives and decisions. With the right supports in place, anyone can turn their lives around and become who they wish to be. We provide supports that help maintain healthy relationships. We take the stress off of your loved ones and allow them to interact with you in a healthy way.

Therapy Works

Ultimately, and precisely in the deepest and most important matters, we are unspeakably alone; and psychotherapy is an outlet for people to speak out, obtain supportive advice and gain a push forward towards the positive direction. Psychotherapy is an alive and dynamic process, not just a sterile monotone exchange of ideas or mechanical directives for behavior change.

Therapy has the power to transform an individual and bring about lasting personal change. It has been proven through research that emotional health benefits gained from psychodynamic therapy is equal to, and often exceeds those of medication. Effective talk therapy has the ability to alter the chemicals in your brain and rewire your neural pathways, changing the way you process information about yourself and the world.

The beginning

At the beginning of treatment, it is recommended that you meet with your therapist weekly. Standard sessions are 50-minutes long. You may request longer sessions in advance if you plan ahead and schedule them with your therapist. To set something up, all you have to do is email or call us and determine a time that works for you and for your therapist.

People don’t come to therapy because they have problems.

Everyone has problems. People come to therapy because they feel stuck. Sometimes the same issues resurface over and over in different forms and we’re not sure why. Often we try to address these problems superficially without dealing with their roots, which is why they may continue despite our best efforts.

In therapy, problematic patterns are explored in depth in order to address the underlying causes and thus begin to change the driving forces beneath them. In other words, therapy goes beyond the symptoms and targets the actual disease. A unique combination of several research-proven theories, tailored to each individual, which together can help you transform depression, anxiety, and helplessness into freedom, strength, and wholeness.
